Use ChatGPT on the web. Pro supports read-only MCP apps; Business and Enterprise/Edu support full MCP apps. Workspace controls may require an admin.

   Open Apps settings

   In ChatGPT, open your profile menu, choose Settings, then Apps.

   Turn on Developer mode

   Open Advanced settings and enable Developer mode. If the switch is missing, ask your workspace admin to allow Connected Data developer mode.

   You are done when: Developer mode is shown as enabled.

   Create the app

   Return to Apps, choose Create, and enter Truessay Scholar as the app name.

   Paste the server URL

   Paste https://mcp.truessay.com/mcp into the MCP server URL or endpoint field. Choose OAuth if ChatGPT asks for an authentication method.

   Scan the tools

   Choose Scan tools. A Truessay window opens; sign in and choose Allow connection. Return to ChatGPT and wait for the scan to finish.

   You are done when: The search and paper tools appear without an error.

6. 06

   Save and try it

   Choose Create. Start a new chat, open the tools menu, select Truessay Scholar, and send the test prompt below.

   You are done when: The answer includes academic papers and source links.
