How does the Student plan verify I am a student?
We check the email suffix on your sign-in account. Recognized domains include .edu, .ac.uk, .edu.cn, .ac.jp, .edu.au, and several other regional academic suffixes. The check happens server-side at checkout.
Why can I not export from the free plan?
Real-time retrieval against 200M+ peer-reviewed academic papers is the most expensive part of every draft. The free plan exists so you can verify the citations are real before you pay. The clean export is the part the subscription covers.
Why is monthly so much more than annual?
The annual plan is the price we want to give you. Monthly carries the operational overhead of mid-cycle churn. If you are unsure, start monthly — you can switch to annual from the customer portal once it earns its place.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, from the customer portal. Monthly cancels at the end of the current cycle. Annual gives you the rest of the year — no proration drama.
